Geoffrey L. “Jeff” Moser, 76, of New Philadelphia passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024, in the Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital.

 Born on November 26, 1947, in Dover he was a son of the late Karl and Florence Castignola Moser. Jeff was also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. “Patty” Moser on January 23, 2022.

 Jeff proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his discharge, he was employed at Republic Steel in Canton, having dedicated 25 years of service as a welder. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover and was also a member of the former Dover VFW. He was an avid bowler and golfer, and his love for Ohio State Football was evident, as he eagerly followed the team. Jeff also enjoyed the thrill of NASCAR. Nature was a significant part of Jeff’s life as well; he appreciated the great outdoors, especially hunting. The bonds he formed with friends were invaluable, and he looked forward to his treasured Thursday evenings at Limby’s, where laughter and stories flowed freely.

 Jeff is survived by his son, Christopher Moser and his companion, Brandy Arnold of Dover; sister and brother in law, Sandy (Bill) Short of Dover; many nieces, nephews and cousins, including, Diane Dorsey, Janie (Mike) Brown and Jody Matics.

 A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 22nd starting at 10:30 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park where the New Philadelphia VFW will conduct military graveside services. The family will be greeting friends on Wednesday in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover from 5-7 pm with Christian Wake services starting at 6:45.
