Gerry Ann Casteel, 89, of Newcomerstown, passed away on July 13, 2022, at Community Hospice Truman House, New Philadelphia. She was born November 7, 1932, in Newcomerstown, to the late Fred and Mary (Harper) Clough.
She was a 1950 Newcomerstown High School graduate. She was a homemaker. She was a pianist, seamstress, and baker. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. She attended First Baptist Church of Newcomerstown.
On April 8, 1954, she married Robert D. Casteel who passed away on October 22, 2000. She was survived by her daughter, Jane Ann Soter of Newcomerstown; her grandchildren, Timothy Alan (Angela) Soter Jr. and Renee Ann Soter (Mitchell Hinson) all of Monroe, NC; her great-grandson, Timothy Alan Soter III; her brother, Fred (Colleen) Clough of Newcomerstown. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Joy Marlatt, Mary Jane Grewell, Charles Clough, and Margaret Irene Clough.
Services will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022, at 1 pm at Addy Funeral Home, Newcomerstown with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery, Newcomerstown.
