Gladys E. Farnsworth, age 94, of Bolivar and formerly of Mineral City died peacefully, Thursday, May 8, 2025, in Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital at Dover.
Born in Zoarville, Ohio on March 10, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Ross L. and Edna (Westbrook) Ewing. Following her graduation from the former Mineral City High School, she married Donald E. Farnsworth on April 8, 1950, whom she celebrated 74 years of marriage before his passing in 2024.
Surviving are her children, Robert Farnsworth, Michael (Melinda) Farnsworth, Mark Farnsworth, Lynn (Rod) Burton, and Susan (Stephen) Yoder; 10 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Gladys was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Pamela Farnsworth; sister, Miriam Scott; and brother, Larry Ewing.
The family will greet guests one hour prior to services on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover where Rev. Kenneth Yoder will lead a service celebrating Gladys’ life at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in German Cemetery at Mineral City.
