Gloria Jean (Bertolini) deMello, 84, of Dover passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia.
Born in New Philadelphia on October 15, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Mary (Liberatore) Bertolini.
She graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1955 and received her bachelor’s degree in teaching from Minot State University in Minot, North Dakota at the age of 49.
Gloria married Frank H. de Mello on August 15, 1958. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy deMello, Brother-in-Law, David Seabrook and Step-Mother, Wilma (Peters) Bertolini. Gloria was a wonderful mom, grandma and pre-school teacher.
She will be sadly missed by her sons, Ken deMello of Aldie, Virginia, and Kris deMello of Everett, Washington; along with her granddaughters, Katelyn and Madison deMello; and her sister, Jeannette Seabrookand 3 sisters-in-law Bobbie Hall, Sally Berg and Peggy deMello and many nieces and nephews.
In honoring Gloria’s wishes, cremation has been entrusted with the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes & Crematory in Dover. A graveside service will take place at Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia on 1:00 PM, April 30th with Father Jeff Coning officiating.
