Arrowhead Joint Fire District’s Chief says the State Fire Marshal and the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office are trying to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a small house in the Gnadenhutten area early Monday.

There were no injuries. Chief Steven Wright says firefighters got called to the 68-hundred block of Kinsey Valley Road southwest, in Clay Township, shortly after 1:30am.

Nobody has been living there for several months. Wright says firefighters determined the last time someone was in the house was at about 9:30 Sunday night, as the owner has been moving out belongings.

Wright notes that security camera video from a neighboring property shows multiple vehicles passing by on Kinsey Valley Road around the time of the blaze. Anyone with information should contact the Tuscarawas Sheriff’s Office or State Fire Marshal.
