A 23-year-old Gnadenhutten man pleaded not guilty to rape and other crimes involving a minor.
A four-count indictment against Jeffrey Boggess alleges he engaged in sexual conduct with a minor between the ages of 13 and 16 from 2024 to 2026.
In addition to rape, the counts include unlawful sexual conduct, pandering obscenity and pandering sexually-oriented matter, all involving a minor.
Tuscarawas County Common Pleas Court Judge Ryan Styer set his bond at $25,000. A telephone pretrial is scheduled for October 13th.
Boggess remained in jail as of Thursday afternoon.
