Grace L. Sloan, 97, of Dover passed away at Park Village Health Care Center on Saturday, August 14, 2021.
Grace was born on July 17, 1924, in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Horvath) Kutasi.
She married James Sloan, who preceded her in death in 1981. She retired from the Johnson and Johnson Company in New Jersey and later became a homemaker.
Grace was a member of the Union Hill Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for 35 years. She enjoyed bowling, reading, swimming, and played on a women’s basketball team in her youth.
She leaves behind her two children; Larry (Jane) Sloan of Dover, and Bonnie Rose Sloan of Dover; her grandson, Jason Sloan; along with her friends and caregivers, Sandy (Tom) Taylor, and Kim (Bob) Rufener, and their families.
In honoring her wishes, and due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, services are being handled privately through the care of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover.
