Harold E. Haga, lovingly known as “Peanut” by his family and friends, was called from his earthly home in Uhrichsville to his heavenly home at the age of 79, following a lengthy illness. Born March 13, 1945 in New Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Frank Sylvester Haga and Ada Lucile (Barcus) Haga.

On September 5, 1966, Harold married the former Donna L. Wade who survives him at their home. He is also survived by their sons, Harold “Bud” Haga, II and Randy (Amber) Haga; daughter, Missy (Jesse) Napier; 13 grandchildren and their spouses; and 5 great-grandchildren. His sister, Rose Turnbull, and several nieces and nephews complete his surviving family. Peanut also leaves behind his church family at Dennison Foursquare Church where he had been a member for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Haga.

A lifelong Tuscarawas County resident, Peanut was employed by Superior Clay Corp. for over 30 years. He was a man of many interests who especially enjoyed fishing and hunting, as well as collecting knives. He raced at Midvale in his younger years, spent many happy hours bowling with his wife, and had been on a golf team at Five Waters Golf Course. He had also been a member of the Uhrichsville Moose and Uhrichsville Eagles.

Pastor Rod Phillips will officiate the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, at Dennison Foursquare Church. Interment will follow in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover. Peanut’s family will receive callers at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, prior to the funeral. Those wishing to honor his memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Dennison Foursquare Church, 7325 State Route 250, Dennison, OH  44621.
