Harriet L. Duvall – September 13, 2022

Harriet L. Duvall, 97, a life resident of Strasburg passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, following a period of declining health.

She was born on August 21, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel Hinig Haswell. Harriet was also preceded in death by her brothers, Pete, Tom, Bob, John, and Jerry Haswell; sisters, June Dreher, Patty Weber, Beverly Freshwater, Kathryn Minnich, Nancy Beichel, and Doris Minor.

She was a faithful member of Strasburg United Methodist Church. A loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Harriet will be sadly missed by her husband of 75 years, James “Jim” Duvall; daughters, Sheri (David) Longfellow, and Sandra (Rick) Price both of Strasburg; grandson, Ashley (Gabby) Price of Bath; great-grandchildren, Noah and Piper Price; siblings, Ed Haswell, Ronald “Nick” (Glenna) Haswell both of Strasburg; Georgean (Dick) Lutz, and Bertie (Ron) Gray both of Massillon; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 16th starting at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Strasburg with Rev. Matthew Wald officiating. Interment will be at the Grandview Union Cemetery, Strasburg. The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service on Friday.
