A collection event will provide those who register the chance to get rid of household hazardous materials.

The Tuscarawas County Health Department and Stark-Tuscarawas-Wayne Solid Waste District teamed up for the events that will take place on Saturday, May 18th, from 9am to 1pm.

Accepted items include automotive fluids and car care products, cleaning supplies and other household chemicals, diesel, kerosene, and gasoline, as well as, pesticides and herbicides, oil-based paint, mercury containing devices, and aerosols.

Anyone wanting to utilize the service must make an appointment, online at www.timetorecycle.org/resources/schedule-an-appointment.

The event will be at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds and participants must remain in their vehicle, provide a driver’s license, and sign an affidavit certifying the waste was generated for residential purposed only.
