Helen Moore, 96, of Dundee, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the Truman House in New Philadelphia following a brief illness.
She was born in Zanesville on June 28, 1927, to the late Walter and Myrtle (Paisley) Smith. Helen was married to Russell F. King who died on September 6, 1985, and then married Darrell Moore who died on October 19, 2023.
She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Dundee and worked as a nurse for 40 years.
She is survived by her stepchildren, Ralph “Sonny” (Emma) King, Glendale King, and Shirley (late Glen) McCaslin and many step grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Jean (Jack) Thomas and step son-in-law, Glen McCaslin.
Services will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024, at 2 PM at Lakeview Baptist Church with Pastor Tom Shank officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 1-2 PM at the church prior to services. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 11 AM at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Salem, WV. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
