The United Way of Tuscarawas County is partnering with HARCATUS Head Start to collect school supplies for the annual event that will help preschoolers in the Head Start Preschool program.
Hannah Hartman, the community engagement and events manager at United Way, says donations are now being accepted.
“During the month of July, there are many public collection sites throughout Tuscarawas County where people can stop by and drop off school supplies.”
This includes the WTUZ/WJER Radio Office located at 2424 E. High Avenue in New Philadelphia. A complete list of “Stuff the Box” locations can be found at tuscunitedway.org/events. They are also accepting monetary donations.
In August, there will be an actual school bus at Walmart in New Philadelphia that will hold all the donated supplies, but until then the community is encouraged to start shopping now and give those supplies to a nearby collection site.
