Herminia Y. Laubacher, known as Minnie, age 91, of Dover, Ohio, died early Tuesday morning, April 28th, 2026, in the Park Village Health Care Center at Dover.

She was born April 25, 1935, in Manila, in the Philippines. She was the daughter of the late Maximo and Corazon (Acampado) Yenesa. She married the love of her life, Raymond Isidore Laubacher, who passed away on July 22, 2009. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Alex Yenesa, and two sisters, Mel Verbukas and Connie Magallanes.

Minnie was employed for many years as an office employee for the Swingline Stapler Mfg. Co. in New York, worked in the Deli Department of Woods Grocery in Malvern, and spent some years working as a nanny.  She was an active member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Malvern and attended masses with regularity until changes in her health made it difficult.  She was an avid gardener, loved cooking, enjoyed crocheting in her spare time, and loved animals. She loved to sing, often performing for family gatherings, and staged an in-house performance while staying at New Dawn assisted living. Minnie will especially be remembered for her witty sense of humor, often cracking jokes even in her final months. She was an incredibly loving mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family.  

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Linda Marie (Troy) Norris of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, a granddaughter, Mrs. Treasur (Eric) Luikart of New Philadelphia, OH, a grandson, Dalton Sholtz of Dover, OH, a great-granddaughter, Lyanna Luikart of New Philadelphia, OH, a sister, Antonia NaGrampa of San Francisco, CA. and nieces in NY.

Calling hours will take place at 10:00 A.M, Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 125 S. Carrollton Street, Malvern., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by Fr. Victor Cinson, at 11:00 A.M.  Interment will follow in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
