Howard A. Walters, 76, of Gnadenhutten died at Community Hospice Truman House on Saturday morning of April 16, 2022, with family by his side. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on May 15, 1945, to the late Jed and Mildred (Bryant) Walters, was a member of the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1969, and a past member of the Uhrichsville Moose. Howard worked as a machinist, and he retired from Sam Winers in Canton after working there for thirteen years. He enjoyed spending time and loving his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of thirty-five years, Georgia Quillen of the home, three children: Troy (Terry) Quillen, Travis Quillen, and Tracie (Dave) Beckett; nine grandchildren: Seth Quillen, Cody Quillen, Hunter Quillen, Kyana (Tyler) Harmon, Amanda Quillen, JJ Jackson, Laci Smith, Aly Quillen, and Ian Quillen; six great-grandchildren: Blair Quillen, Jake Harmon, Wylder Harmon, Carl Smith, Thea Smith, and Kristina Best; and siblings: Nettie (Tom) Jenkins, Lisa Burnett, and John (Cheryl) Walters.

Howard was preceded in death by siblings, Penny Walters, Roger Walters, and Linda Duckworth.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 1:30 P.M. at Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery with Bill Eckert officiating. Friends and family may arrive at 1:00 P.M. for viewing prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
