Ohio Department of Commerce Division of State Fire Marshal (SFM) Investigators have ruled a fatal Wednesday fire in Canton as arson.
Investigators say that firefighters were dispatched at around 1:30am to a residence located at 200 Lincoln Ave. NW, for a reported structure fire. While at the scene, units discovered the body of a male.
A subsequent investigation with Canton Fire and the State Fire Marshal determined the blaze as being intentionally set.
Video captured by witnesses show multiple persons of interest fleeing the scene at the time. A reward of $5,000 is being offered by the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
