Ingrid Parker, 87, went to be with the Lord on April 15, 2026, while in the care of Ohio’s Hospice at Park Village Dover, after a period of declining health.
Ingrid was born November 4, 1938, in Rühzheim, Germany, to the late Moritz and Irma Held. After her parents died during World War II, Ingrid and her sister were raised by her grandparents, the late Engelbert and Marie Grosso.
After meeting Vaughn “Pete” Parker while he was stationed in Germany in the U.S. Army, the two married in 1961 and Ingrid immigrated to the United States in 1962, where she became a US citizen.
Ingrid is survived by her 3 daughters, Yvonne (David) Cozart, Cindy (Michael) McComb and Annette (Robert) Beitzel, all of New Philadelphia. She is also survived by grandchildren Jenifer (Scott) Swaldo of Stone Creek, Tyler (fiancée Erica Kidd) Kopp of Dennison, Jared (Emily) Beitzel of New Philadelphia and Drew Beitzel of Ravenna. Surviving great-grandchildren are Tomas (Kinzee) Wieland of New Philadelphia, David Wieland & Parker Wieland of Stone Creek, and Micah Beitzel of New Philadelphia.
In addition to Ingrid’s husband, Vaughn, parents and grandparents, Ingrid was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Ute & Hermann Karches and grandson, Ryan Wieland.
Ingrid was a member of Jerusalem Church in New Philadelphia.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 11am in the Jerusalem Church Cemetery, where Ingrid will be interred beside her husband, Vaughn. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia is handling arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to Ohio’s Hospice or to the Jerusalem Church Building Fund.
