James E. Cutshall, age 57, of  Somerdale, Ohio, died suddenly on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 in Dover, Ohio. 

He was born January 18, 1968 in Massillon, Ohio and was the son of Pauline Elizabeth (Shonk) Cutshall of rural Sherrodsville, Ohio and the late Richard Arlen Cutshall.

James retired due to disability from Allied Machine and Engineering, Third Street Facility in Dover after 28 years of service where he performed maintenance duties. He, along with his brother Rick, rebuilt and restored classic automobiles and trucks together as a hobby.  James also was fond of outdoor activities including hunting and fishing. He was a 1987 graduate of Tuscarawas Valley High School. 

In addition to his mother Pauline, he is survived by three sisters and a brother, Mrs. Roxanne (Dennis) Jones of Bowerston, OH, Tamera Blankenship and her companion Jeff Greenwood and Mrs. Michele (Mike) Demattio, both of New Philadelphia, OH and Rick Cutshall of Sherrodsville, and a large family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Calling hours will be observed from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Friday, March 21, 2025 in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville. No formal funeral service is scheduled.  A private family graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 in the Holmes Church Cemetery near New Philadelphia where interment of his ashes will follow.  To leave an online condolence message please visit the funeral home website.
