James Randolph “Randy” Goddard, age 77, of Roswell, died Monday, March 4, 2024, in Country Club Retirement Center at Dover following a period of declining health.
Born on November 25, 1946, in Dennison, Randy was a son of the late James Harry Goddard and Maxine Louise (Sherer) Goddard-Coventry.
He was a graduate of Midvale High School, he held a few jobs, retiring from the Carpenters Local 69 after more than 30 years of service.
Randy was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Browns fan. He also loved to make people laugh with his quick wit.
Randy is survived by his children, Darla Case, Lori Barr, and Randy Case, and his brother, Tracy Goddard.
In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in passing by his wife, Patricia K. Goddard; his infant son, Ricky Goddard, and sons, Rick Case and Jason Goddard; and his sister-in-law, Sharon Goddard.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 8, 2024, in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia from 10 to 11 a.m. with Pastor Brian Flood officiating his service beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.
