Jane E. Ricketts, 84, of Dellroy passed away on February 21, 2024, at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital at Canton surrounded by her loving family.
Jane was born April 4, 1939, at her family home in Fry’s Valley to the late Theodore and Clara (Clum) Crawshaw.
After graduating from New Philadelphia High School Jane went to Mercy School of Practical Nursing and became an LPN. She retired as a surgical technician at Aultman Hospital after 29 years of service.
Jane leaves behind her husband, James whom she married in 2003; her children, Kenneth (Lela) McNutt of Cadiz, Mark McNutt of Mineral City, Mari (Randy) Haefka of Costa Rica, and Beth Ann (Mike) Schaar of Canton; step-children, David (Michelle) Ricketts of Concord, Karl Ricketts of Deltona, Florida, Judith (Jeff) Dunn of Floissant, Colorado, and Susan (Douglas) Gulachek of Media; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 19 step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; brother, James Crawshaw; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her sister, Donna McGinnis.
Jane’s family will greet friends on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM in Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia a funeral service honoring Jane’s life will begin at 11:30 AM with Pastor Dan Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in East Ave. Cemetery in New Philadelphia. The family will hold a Celebration of Life reception at Mt. Zion Community Church, 2637 Baum St. SE Canton, OH 44707 beginning at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
