Jane M. Jones, 95, of Port Washington, Ohio, passed away Friday, February 17, 2023. She was born in Steubenville, Ohio, daughter of the late Louis E. and Minnie (Salchli) Jones. She attended Port Washington High School and then became a homemaker. Jane was a member of St. Paul’s UCC in Port Washington, where she sang in the choir for many years.
Jane is survived by her loving sister, Shirley Jones of Port Washington; two sisters in law, Margery Jones and Naomi Jones; numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her brothers, Louis Jr., Clifford, Robert (Luella), William, Donald, Ronald, and her sister, Pauline.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Riverside Manor and Community Hospice for the compassionate care Jane received. In addition, they would like to recognize Pamela at Riverside for her many kindnesses and excellent care shown to Jane over the years. Private family services for Jane will be held, and her burial will take place at Union Cemetery in Port Washington.
