Janet Helen Beagle, 77, of New Philadelphia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, in the Schoenbrunn Health Care Center after a period of declining health.
She was born on May 31, 1945, in Framingham, Massachusetts, and was the youngest daughter of the late Elton and Doris Lowe Smith. Janet was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Chester A. Beagle on December 25, 2020; sister, Shirley Hassett, and brother, Wesley Smith. She is survived by her children, Robbie (Kathy) Beagle, Lori (Kevin) Miller both of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Tyler Lowdermilk, Ashley Welch; two great-grandchildren; and her brother, Jim Smith of Massachusetts.
Janet loved decorating for all the holidays, camping in the summer at Atwood Lake, and her Dog Muffin, who passed years ago. She also enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels and spending time with her best friend, Joy Schultz. Janet’s family and friends had visited with her weeks before her final passing, and she knew she was loved.
In lieu of flowers or cards, pay it forward to anyone in need of Christmas Cheer. It was definitely Janet and Chester’s favorite time of the year, they are now, Together Again.
Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. There are no services or calling hours.
