Janet L. Burnham, 84, of Mineral City passed away at Aultman Compassionate Care in Canton on Monday, April 6, 2026, following a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease and dementia.

Born in Detroit, Michigan on January 20, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Floyd R. and Dorothy Louise (Leighton) Buck.  She married Roy H. Burnham on May 26, 1961, who survives.

Janet was a homemaker who enjoyed needlepoint and crocheting, cooking, canning, gardening and won Best of Show at the county fair over the years.  She was an avid tap dancer in her younger years.

In addition to her husband Roy, she is survived by her children Donald (Larissa) Burnham of California, Steve (Jessica) Burnham of Wisconsin, Kristin (Richard) Troyer of Sugarcreek, and Roger (Jennifer) Burnham of Lexington, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, and awaiting the arrival of her newest great grandson; and sisters Nancy Atkinson, Joyce Catty, and Laura Koehnke.

She is preceded in death by her parents; children Paula Burnham and David Burnham; and grandson-in-law Josh Hochstetler.

In honoring Janet’s wishes, cremation will occur with no public visitation or services being planned at this time.
