Janet Lee Coffman, 60, of Midvale, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. Born April 28, 1962 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Everett and Patricia Lee (Majewski) Coffman.

Janet was a 1981 graduate of Claymont High School before attending Kent State University where she studied art. In her late 20’s, she discovered her passion for nursing and earned her L.P.N. certification while working full-time for a local nursing home. She was very proud to be a nurse and dedicated her life to the loving, patient care of her geriatric residents at Schoenbrunn Healthcare in New Philadelphia.

She will be deeply missed by her siblings, Thomas E. (Paula Jo) Coffman, II, Elizabeth “Beth” (Roy) Walker, Donna (Mike) Opphile, and Alan (Cindy) Coffman; nephews and nieces, Jason (Barry) Cearley-Opphile, Lauren (Adam) Lefler, Liesl (Zach) Davenport, Courtney Coffman, and Nikolas (fiancée, Ariel) Walker; great-niece and great-nephew, Lilly Lefler and Vincent Davenport; and a host of dear friends and co-workers. Janet is also mourned by her beloved canine companion of the past 14 years, Buster.

Janet’s life will be celebrated by a 1:00 p.m. memorial service on Wednesday, April 19, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison where her family will receive callers for two hours prior to the service. She will be interred beside her beloved parents in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery after a private, family graveside service.
