Janice M. Cronebaugh, 77, of Stone Creek, passed away June 27, 2024, following a long period of declining health.

Born in Dover on May 17, 1947, Janice was the daughter of the late Orlo Kreig and Ruth Marie (Eichel) Brown.

After graduating from Tuscarawas Valley School in 1965, Janice married her loving husband, Howard Cronebaugh on June 8, 1969. Together, they were blessed with the birth of three children, Jeff, Steve and Janelle. 

Janice served as the New Philadelphia High School district AV technician for numerous years prior to her retirement. She also gave of her time and talent to the Tuscarawas County Fair Board working in their office for numerous years. 

Additionally, she was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church, serving as a Sunday School teacher, secretary and very involved in the social ministry. Janice served as a 4-H Committee Treasurer for numerous years and as an advisor for 50 years with the Angel Valley Rosebud & Ramblers. She was awarded the Friend of 4-H county award for her excellent years of service.

Most importantly, Janice dearly loved her family, and her grandchildren were the joy of her life. 

She will be forever cherished by her family including her husband, Howard; children, Jeff (Jonna) Cronebaugh, Steve (Sarah Kneuss) Cronebaugh, and Janelle Ringer, all of Stone Creek; her grandchildren, Sawyer, Reed, Sophia, and Sybil Cronebaugh; her brothers, Dean (Peggy) Brown, Marvin (Deb) Brown, and Cliff (Jennifer) Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in passing by her in-laws, Ralph and Mildred Cronebaugh; her sister-in-law, Carolyn (David) Lauer; and her son-in-law, Mark Ringer.

Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Tuesday, July 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. A service will be held Wednesday at 11 am in Zion Lutheran Church at Stone Creek with visitation one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will follow in Stone Creek Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to Grace Community Church following the burial where a luncheon will be hosted by the family.
