Janice Mae Storck, 95, of New Philadelphia, died December 10, 2022, in Park Village Southside in New Philadelphia.
A daughter of the late Frank and Katherine (Visentainer) Kuenzli, Jan was born in New Philadelphia on June 13, 1927.
After graduating from New Philadelphia High School in 1945, Jan continued her formal education at Kalamazoo College in Michigan where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.
She worked for the former Hanhart Kyler Miller and Renner for more than 30 years as a secretary to the attorneys and an abstractor.
On October 29, 1950, Jan married her late husband, Robert J. Storck. Together they enjoyed a wonderful life filled with much love and family. Jan often blessed her family with her delicious baked goods and prepared wonderful meals for them. Socially, she was a member of the Junior Clionian Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan (David) Knight of West Salem, Ohio; two sons, David Storck of New Philadelphia and Donald Storck of Pennington, New Jersey; grandchildren, Andy (Holly) Knight of Glencoe, Illinois, Kate (Adam) Harbaugh of West Salem, Ohio and Zoey Storck of Pennington, New Jersey; and 8 great-grandchildren, Paxton, Audrina, Kaia, and Pierson Knight and Adley, Nora, Kenna, and Tate Harbaugh.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jan was preceded in passing by her infant son; grandson, Charlie Storck; infant grandson, Kevin Knight; and sister, Norma Mueller.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, December 17, 2022, from 12:30 to 1:30 at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. Revs. Jeff Gerber and Jill Lovett will officiate Jan’s service in the funeral home chapel beginning at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia.
