Jason Edward Griffin, 51, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his sleep of an apparent heart attack on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Born April 12, 1973 in Dennison, Ohio, he was the son of Debra Jean Griffin of New Concord.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his fiancée, Jessica Hayes, and her children, Vincent Hayes, Kolton Hayes, and Kaytee Meek, as well as his uncle and aunt, Eddie Griffin, Jr. and his wife, Bonnie. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Shirley Griffin.
A resident of Uhrichsville for much of his life, Jason was a 1991 graduate of Sandusky High School before proudly serving four years in the U. S. Navy. He had worked as a sales associate at Lowe’s in New Philadelphia for many years before his current employment at Superb Industries in Sugarcreek. In his spare time, he loved to read and was an avid fan of nearly every sport. He especially loved cheering on the Seattle Seahawks and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
According to his wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation. His family will celebrate his life privately. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions honoring his memory may be made to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, 1432 Tall Timber Rd. N.E., New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
