Jeffrey L. Marshall, 76, of New Philadelphia, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, in Cleveland Clinic-Union Hospital in Dover.
Born in Uhrichsville on February 26, 1946, he was the son of the late Dick and Connie Marshall and graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1964. Following his graduation, Jeff enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country for four years before being honorably discharged.
Following the Navy, Jeff met Georgia L. Stearns, and the couple were married in 1972. Jeff had a successful career with and eventually retired from the Timken Company, Faircrest Steel Plant where he worked as an Engineer. Jeff had an outgoing personality and truly never met a stranger. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife of 50 years, Jeff will be deeply missed by his two children, Jennifer and Jeffrey, Jr.; his two grandchildren, Tori and Tanner; his brothers, Rick, Kevin (Diane), and Rod (Trell) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Jeff was also preceded in death by two brothers.
In keeping with his wishes, a graveside service will be held at a future date. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia has been entrusted with his service arrangements.
