Jennie Lee (Metcalf) McCue, 86, formerly of Dennison, passed away on Monday, August 15th, 2022, at Park Village Southside under the care of Community Hospice in New Philadelphia. Born June 23, 1936, in Uhrichsville, she was the daughter of the late William S. and Sara Marie (Decker) Metcalf. On August 22, 1961, she married Daniel A. McCue, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness for over 55 years. She worked in the dry-cleaning industry for 20 years and then spent several years as a caretaker for others before retiring. She loved knitting and crocheting and always loved crocheting baby outfits.
Jennie is survived by her children, Elaine (Bill) Lambeth of Weiser, ID, Paulette Devaul of Dover, OH, Chris (Jane) Hill of Sherrodsville, OH, Jack (Debbie) Hill of New Brighton, PA, Melody (Dan) Keifer of New Philadelphia, OH and Faith (Ed) Talley of Stuart, FL; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Bryan McCue, 2 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and 4 siblings.
In keeping with Jennie’s wishes, no visitation or services are planned. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions honoring her memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
