Jo Ann L. McCoy, 84, of Dover passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover.
She was born on January 24, 1940, in Massillon to the late Jacob and Dorothy Coup Baus. Jo Ann was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald McCoy on December 10, 2010; son, Kim Herron; daughter, Cynthia Gribble and stepson, Tim McCoy.
She had worked at Boulevard Lanes in Dover for many years. Jo Ann’s proudest accomplishments included her exceptional skills as a bowler, leading to her induction into the prestigious Women’s International Bowling Association Hall of Fame. Beyond bowling, Jo Ann also found delight in playing bingo, adding fun and camaraderie to her life.
Jo Ann is survived by her loving children: James (Debbie) Herron of New Cumberland, Tammy (Dwayne) Addleman of New Philadelphia; as well as her 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 25th starting at 1:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Rev. Paul Robb officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.
