Joanne (Ladrach) Brittain, 91, of Port Ritchey, Florida, and formerly of Dover died Friday, September 30, 2022, in her home following a period of declining health. She was a resident of Florida since 1956.
Born August 8, 1931, in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Pauline (Herzig) Ladrach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Brittain on July 20, 2002.
She was a Research Librarian and was employed by the Arvida Corporation and the First Federal Savings Assn. in Miami until her retirement.
Joanne graduated from Dover High School in 1949. She was also a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a B.S. Degree in Business. She was an avid golfer and was a member of the Southern Golf Association and a longtime member of the River Ridge Golf Club in Newport Ritchey. In addition, she was a member of the AARP and a Life member of the American Ex-Prisoners of War Auxiliary and was formerly active in the Eighth Air Force Museum in Savannah, Georgia.
She is survived by cousins in the Tuscarawas County area.
