Joanne M. Deibel, 92, of Strasburg passed away on Saturday, April 30 after a long and full life.
Joanne was the daughter of the late Clyde and Maxine (Holzworth) Jones. She was a 1947 graduate of Dover High School and was a long-time member of First Lutheran Church in Strasburg. Joanne retired from Teter’s IGA after 25 years of service.
Joanne was greeted in heaven by her son, Steve Deibel; her grandson, Bryan Deibel; great-grandson, Roger; and three siblings, Mary Lou Orr, Clyde (Bud) Jones, and Bob Jones. She is survived by her sister, Terri Schaar; daughter, Dale Ann (Gary) Conner, grandsons Quinn (Jill) Conner, Dale Deibel; granddaughter, Torey Conner; and six great-grandchildren. The highlights of her days were spending time with her precious great-grandsons, Zane Conner and Madden and McGowan Williams, who will remember her as a doting and loving Grammy. She also enjoyed reading, completing crossword puzzles, and being outside.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 4th starting at 1:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Strasburg with Pastor Jason Rissler officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
