John Allen Jackson aka “Jack Tanner”, 81, of West Lafayette, passed away on January 4, 2023, in Coshocton Regional Medical Center. He was born December 14, 1941, in Coshocton to the late Ruby Anne (Kiser) and Harry O. Jackson.
He was a West Lafayette High School graduate in the class of 1960. He lived and loved most of his adult life on the West Coast pursuing his career in the movie industry, where he met his wife, Gail Brenda (Gerber) Jackson. They shared 36 years of a beautiful, loving life.
He enjoyed adventures in the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and soaking in the beauty of nature. He was an expert in repairing fine watches and had a mind for fixing things. He truly was a Jack of all trades.
In addition to his wife, Gail, he is survived by his step-daughter, Marla (Art) Carrette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Lee Jackson. There will be a private graveside service at Fairfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Coshocton County Animal Shelter 21755 Twp Rd 164, Coshocton, OH 43812.
