John H. Garbrandt, Sr., 76, of Newcomerstown, passed away on March 14, 2023, at his home. He was born May 2, 1946 in Uhrichsville, OH to the late Lawrence and Odessa Mae (Holmes) Garbrandt. John was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War from 1965-1967. John retired after many years at Timken as a grinder and machine operator. He loved fishing, football, spending time with his family, and spoiling Gunner.
John is survived by his children, John A. (Jill) Garbrandt, Randy G. Garbrandt, Thomas K. Garbrandt; grandchildren, Stephanie (Mike) Kirk, John H. (Amber) Garbrandt II, Kallie Garbrandt, Crystal Garbrandt, Brittiani (Bryan) Lewis, Trevor Garbrandt, Anthony Orr, Alisha Garbrandt; several great-grandchildren; his siblings, Mary, Kathy, Marla, and Tim.
Along with his parents, John was preceded in death by his siblings, Gene, Bill, Jim, Terry, Lois, and Gary.
