John Ray “Boltzy” Boltz, age 72, of Dover, died peacefully, on Monday, October 9, 2023, while under the care of Community Hospice in The Truman House at New Philadelphia.
Born November 7, 1950, at Dover, John was a son of the late John K. and Beatrice Boltz.
John served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. After his years of service, he went to work for Stone Container.
He loved to be outdoors. He fed the deer in the woods and often called them his pets. He was also an avid dog lover.
John is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Boltz of Dover, and Jessica Boltz of Tuscarawas; grandchildren, Alexandra Barber, and Nicholas Shaw, Jr.; sister, Kathy (Rod) Carr; niece, Danielle Krimaschewicz; and nephew, David Carr.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will greet guests, Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 10:30-11:30 AM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. Burial will immediately follow in the Dover Burial Park, where the VFW will offer military honors.
