Joseph A. “Joe” Brimager, age 53, of rural Mineral City, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, March 26, 2025, in the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus following a brief illness.

He was born August 25, 1971 in Dover, Ohio and was the son of  Rebecca Jo (Paisley) Brimager of Mineral City and the late Thomas Ray Brimager. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Donald Joe and  Regina Paisley, a brother-in-law Willard Kieffer, Jr.,  and an uncle Daniel Paisley.

Joe was a 1990 graduate of Tuscarawas Valley High School and The Buckeye Career Center and subcontracted HVAC installation.  An enthusiastic outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, but was particularly passionate about fishing.  He was an attentive father to Thomas and Jedidiah, and was particularly fond of sharing his time with them.  He tried to make people laugh.   He knew that a sense of humor is a powerful gift, and he shared his humor willingly.   A caring father, son, and brother, his memory will be cherished by his family and many good  friends.

In addition to his mother Rebecca Brimager, he is survived by two sons, Thomas and Jedidiah Brimager, both of Mineral City, OH,  a sister Jamie Kieffer of New Philadelphia, OH,  nieces and nephews Braison, Skylie, Ashley, Melissa, Vanessa,  and Natalie, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his beloved dog, Zoey.

The family will host a Celebration of Life service in his remembrance at a later date.  The Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville has been entrusted with his arrangements. To leave an online condolence message please visit the funeral home website.
