Josephine M. Fox, 88, of Dover, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Aultman Compassionate Care Center in Canton. She was born August 9, 1935, in Dover to the late Joseph and Angelina (Milyiori) Damiene.
Josephine was a 1953 graduate of Dover St. Joseph High School. She retired as manager of the Tuscarawas County Title office after 17 years. She enjoyed crafting, especially sewing and baking Christmas Cookies which she gave to her many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Fox on September 2, 2019. She is survived by a son, Steven Byrne (Darcy Siskavich) of Spring Hill Florida; a daughter, Angela Byrne of Dover; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Frances Mears and Anita Snyder Barnhart, brothers Frank and Pete Damiene and a son James Byrne
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Dover. Following burial, a celebration of Josephine’s life will be held at the St. Joseph Family Life Center at 614 N. Tuscarawas Ave. Dover, Ohio. The Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar is handling the arrangements.
