Judith Ann Wolff, 85, of Newcomerstown, passed away on May 2, 2025. She was born October 29, 1939 in West Lafayette, Ohio to the late Wilbur and Dorothy (Maloy) Mobley. Judy was a 1957 graduate of West Lafayette High School. She was previously employed as a food demonstrator with Buehler’s Foods and had worked in the office at Jones Metal. She was also the Welcome Wagon Hostess for Newcomerstown for 12 years. Judy was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Rachel Group and served as their leader for 14 years. She also belonged to the Senior Center of Newcomerstown where she enjoyed playing cards and helping with their soup suppers. She also enjoyed reading and working in the flower beds around the house her husband built for them 25 years ago.
Judy is survived by her devoted husband, James Wolff whom she married on August 17, 1957. The couple shared over 67 years of marriage and built a beautiful life together. She is survived by three sons; Mark Wolff of Newcomerstown, Mitch (Lori) Wolff of Huber Heights, Matthew (Joetta) Wolff of Hay Springs, NE and a missing daughter, Susan Wolff Cappel. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Julie (Chuck) Adams, Damin (Vanessa) Cappel, Andy Wolff, Lisa (Ian Marks) Wolff, Trinity Wolff, Corey Wolff and Lawrence Wolff along with four great-grandchildren Alexis (Ryan) Newlun, Kaitlynn Shryock and Victor and Adeline Cappel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Dennis Mobley, sister Carol Gardner, daughter-in-law, Valerie Wolff, and nephew, Carl “Steve” Gardner. A memorial service will be held on Thursday May 8, 2025 at 1pm at Addy Funeral Home in Newcomerstown. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery. Friends and family will be received from 12-1pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Judy’s memory to Community Hospice Truman House of New Philadelphia.
