Judith “Judy” Prazak, 78, of New Philadelphia and formerly of Canton, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Park Village South in New Philadelphia following a period of declining health.

She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on October 12, 1946 to the late Edward and Sylvia (Jakub) Dalka and on June 6, 1966 she married Wayne Prazak.  He survives.

Judy worked in elementary education as an Art Teacher in several different school systems. She was involved with various Art Guilds and would teach art classes.

In addition to her husband Wayne, she is survived by her children, Amanda “Mandy” (Jim) Yoder of New Philadelphia, Mark (Amy) Prazak of South Carolina, and Matthew (Kimberly) Prazak of North Carolina; grandchildren, Matthew (Kennedy) Prazak, Benjamin Prazak, Jeffrey Prazak,, Wyatt Prazak, Jae Yoder and Hana Yoder; her first great grandchild is due in August; her sister in Kathryn (Gary) Raymond of Nebraska; sister-in-law Nancy Dalka of Nebraska; and brother-in-law Dean (Sharon) Prazak of Rhode Island.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Mark Dalka.

In keeping with Judy’s wishes, cremation will take place and a private Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a future date.
