Judy (Hennell) Wells passed away peacefully on March 20th at 4:24 pm. It is fitting that she would pass on the first day of spring, leaving behind the ugliness of cancer and looking forward to new beginnings.

Judy is survived by her husband, Jack Wells, with whom she would have celebrated 60 years of marriage this June. In addition to Jack, she is survived by her four children, six grandchildren, her sister, Linda Shull, and many other beloved relatives and friends. Deb (Bruce) Mackey, Andrea (the late Mark – 5/13/20) Samsa, Maria (Chris) Daull, and Jack Jr. (Lori) Wells. Her 6 grandchildren brought her more joy than could be out into words. Jonna (Daniel) Hinchliffe, Lucas Daull, Lauren & Elaina Samsa, and Kaelin & Jackson Wells.

Judy was looking forward to reuniting with her Grandpa Earl Scott. She also joins in death her grandmother, Theresa Scott, and her mother, Earlene Hennell.

Judy was a 1962 graduate of Dennison High School. She was ahead of her time as a successful female business owner of Wells Beauty Salon for over 30 years. She was an avid lover of anything and everything technology. She was building computers well into her 70s. One of her proudest accomplishments was being instrumental in the design and construction of the new Claymont High School. Judy blessed the lives of many and could often be heard saying, “Be the blessing!” She will be missed by many and her legacy will go on for years to come.
