On February 26th, 2025, Julie Anne Klaserner, 71, won her battle with leukemia. Though leukemia has temporarily taken her body, it never touched her faith in Christ and never took her joy. As if the Lord had said to leukemia, “Have you considered my servant, Julie,” the disease and its medical treatment attacked her with every complication it could for the last 6 years, but she remained blameless and upright. She exuded peace, joy, and grace to all, through it all. And most importantly she trusted in God wholly and completely, and has now received her full reward.
Julie worked as a nurse in her younger years, but she will be remembered as a mentor and teacher of women, a restorer of relationships, a cataloger of triumphs, a teller of stories, and an artist who made old things new. To all who met her and knew her, she was the image of Christ, a gentle woman with the strength of truth and grace to guide her.
Her siblings considered her their hero, mentor, spiritual mother, and the best of them. She was an example to them of what it looked like to have a deep personal relationship with God. They know that no one earns their way to heaven, but if there was an exception, Julie would have been that. To her siblings, Julie was the image of Christ.
To her fourteen adoring grandchildren, she was Gammer. The perfect grandmother. She was the provider of adventures. She was the catalyst of imagination. She was the unashamed cheerleader in the stands. She was the gentle spirit to show them their worth is in Jesus. And she was the wise woman to teach them how to be a servant of God. To her grandchildren, she was the image of Christ.
To her daughters-in-law, she was a true source of joy, comfort, and support. Her prayers covered them through the trials of life. She was an ally to each one of them in the way she showed grace, spoke truth, and demonstrated love to each of them and each of their children, as individuals. She demonstrated just how greatly a woman can transform the world around her through service and obedience to God. To her daughters-in-law, she was the image of Christ.
To her sons, she was everything. She nurtured, taught, and disciplined with grace and truth. They observed her early in the mornings at the end of her 2 hours of prayer. They watched her take in the sick and hurting. They witnessed her honor her husband. They were not spoiled by material things, but they were spoiled by having the nearest thing to a perfect mother. To her sons, she was the image of Christ.
To her husband, she was everything. He was in awe of the woman she was. Not only did she treat him like a king, but she also had an intimate relationship with the King of kings. And by this, she was the perfect wife and helpmate. To her husband, she was a friend of Christ.
Now Julie is with Christ, and He has said to her, “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your master.” She is without pain and without sorrow, and she has come into her exceedingly great reward. To Jesus, she is the Bride of Christ.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Helen Allgyer and her brother-in-law, Don Kelly. She is survived by her husband, Tom; her sons, Jeremy (Kari), Abram (Carrie), and Kyle (Traci); her grandchildren, Benaiah, Isaac, Naomi, Olivia, Josiah, Colin, Benjamin, Eva, Halle, Levi, Anna, Rebekah, Clara, and Aria; her siblings, Warren Allgyer, Lisa Kelly, Nina (Les) Hooker, Wendy Allgyer, and Amy (Ira) Wentworth.
