Karen Kay Voshall, 75, passed away on September 27, 2026, at Parkside Village in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.

Born March 10, 1951, in Dover, Ohio, Karen was the daughter of the late William Frederick Kinsey and Arlene June Heminger Kinsey. She was a 1969 graduate of New Philadelphia High School.

On September 12, 1976, Karen married her husband, Roger Alan Voshall, in New Philadelphia. They recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.

Karen worked as an administrative assistant with the United States Department of Justice in Cleveland. Outside of her career, she enjoyed cheering on Cleveland’s professional sports teams and was an avid NASCAR fan. In her later years, she found great enjoyment in bird watching.

Above all, Karen cherished being a grandmother. Her grandchildren lovingly called her “Gogo,” a name that reflected the special place she held in their lives. She also dearly loved her pets, Sammy and Atlantis, who brought her much companionship and happiness.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Alan Voshall; her daughters, Sarah (James) Hoag, II of Parma and Rachel Voshall of Avon; her granddaughters, Hailey Vanderpool, Kara Vanderpool, and Genevieve Hoag; her grandsons, David Quinones, Robbie Vanderpool, and Darrin Vanderpool; her sister-in-law, Cynthia (Don) Wagstaff; her brothers, Fredrick A. (Dawn) Kinsey and William Kinsey II; and her nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 1, 2026 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home Chapel in New Philadelphia. A service will begin at 3 pm with Pastor Brian Flood officiating.
