Kathie Conlon Carr, 64, of Newcomerstown, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, OH. Kathie was born on June 22, 1958, in Cleveland, OH to the late John and Rosezetti (Perkins) Conlon.
Kathie was a graduate of Newcomerstown High School in the class of 1976. She worked most recently as the manager at Super 8 in Newcomerstown. Prior to that, she was the manager at Cy Young Pool and part of the Newcomerstown Schools faculty.
Kathie was happily married to Jimmie “Jim” Carr until his passing in September of 2019. Kathie loved her church family at Churches of Christ in Christian Union. She enjoyed baseball, going to the beach, taking car rides with Paul in the corvette, and being with her girls, Emily and Pressley.
Kathie is survived by her daughter, Emily Rose Lyons (Keith Snyder) of Okatie, SC; granddaughter, Pressley Adair “Wuckus” Lyons; special friend, Paul Hensley; best friend, Deb Reed; siblings, Carol Conlon Harper (Jim Keffer) and Jim (Lori) Conlon of Newcomerstown; nieces and nephews, Megan Conlon, Michael Conlon, John Conlon; great-nieces, Alaina Jean Conlon and Saleena Conlon.
Along with her parents and husband, Kathie was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Conlon; brother-in-law, Rick Harper.
A graveside service for Kathie Conlon Carr will be held on March 22, 2023 at 12:00 PM at West Lawn Cemetery in Newcomerstown, with Pastor Sonny Ramsay officiating. At 1:00 pm, all of Kathie’s family and friends are invited to share a meal and memories at the Churches of Christ in Christian Union, 560 W State St, Newcomerstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kathie’s name may be made to Addy Funeral Home.
