Kathleen A. Garretson, 78, of Newcomerstown, passed away peacefully at Jackson Ridge Care Center on July 11, 2022. She was born March 3, 1944, in Massillon to the late William and Norma Riese.
She went to St. Marys Catholic School. She was thoughtful and caring, silly-hearted, and loved family time and her grandchildren. She was the best treasure hunter ever at thrift shops and sales. She and her late husband Gary were always laughing and enjoying life. They would take long drives together and loved the outdoors. She and Gary were married 56 years. She will be missed.
Kathleen is survived by her son, Pete (Melissa); daughter, Julie (Jamie); two grandchildren, Dane and Lindsey; one great-grandchild, Vada; three brothers, Bill, Rich, and Sheck. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary and Sally; one brother, Wink. Private services will take place at Community Chapel Cemetery for Kathleen and Gary at a later date.
