Kathleen Durben, 100, of Newcomerstown, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Riverside Manor in Newcomerstown. She was born June 24, 1924 in Akron to the late Roy and Hazel (Craigo) Nay. On March 22, 1941, Kathleen married Vernon “Pappy” Durben, who passed away on September 12, 2010. She is survived by her two sons, Robert (Diane) Durben of Navarre and Denny (Karen) Durben of Newcomerstown; two daughters, Deanna Barlow and Cindy Roe, both of Newcomerstown; six grandchildren, Annette (Jared), Neil Durben, Angie (Curtis) Goehring, Tammy (Jeff) Zimmer, Anthony Roe, and James Barlow; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Gary Durben; her son-in-law, Denny Barlow; her grandson, Christopher Barlow; brothers, Robert and Donald Nay; sisters, Juanita Beaver and Jean Harding.
Private family services will be held at a later date with burial at Earley’s Cemetery in Newcomerstown. Kathleen is a Christian and is in a much better place.
