Dog owners can take their four-legged friends for a walk or run at the Kent State Tuscarawas campus Saturday to support scholarships for KSU Tusc students.

The Flash Dash 5K and half-mile fun run starts at 10 a.m., with registration beginning at 9 a.m. It’s a self-timed race, with awards for the top two male and female finishers.

KSU Tusc Director of Philanthropy Chad Conrad says this is the fourth time the Kent State Tuscarawas Alumni Association has hosted the Flash Dash.

There is more to the event than just a walk or a run. The Doggy Fest includes paw painting, K-9 caricatures, a photo booth, T-shirts for humans and diplomas for dogs.

Registration is twenty dollars. Conrad asks that dogs be tagged, leashed, vaccinated and friendly.
