Kimberly Rae Baker, 62, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover, after losing a hard-fought battle with Scleroderma. Born May 10, 1961 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Jay Frank and Patricia Louise (Lorenz) Cole.

A 1979 graduate of Conotton Valley High School, Kim will be remembered as a loving wife, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend to many. She was a longtime member of Leesville Faith Community Chapel who loved painting, shopping, going to auctions and played women’s softball for many years. She loved going to the beach and most enjoyed spending time with her family, including grandchildren and great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to being a homemaker, she had cleaned for a number of local businesses and families, had been employed by AAMCO, and babysat for family.

On May 10, 1997, Kim married David Allen Baker who survives her at their home. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Brennan (Shahrukh) Baker, Bryanna Baker, Cortney (Joel) Goodwin, and Ryan (Kala) Seldon; step grandchildren, Makenna, Macy, and Caden; siblings, Bryan (Dianne) Cole and Rhonda (Frank) Sayre; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Robert (Vickie) Baker, Carol (Mark) Murphy, and John (Valerie) Baker; nieces, Jami Cope, Keri (Ross) Lindsey, Kristen (Zach) Gallion, and Rachelle (companion, Timothy Chism) Cole; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and her precious fur baby, Phoebe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her parents-in-law, John R. “Bob” and Mary Baker.

Pastor Doug McFadden will officiate a 1:00 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, April 20, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery in Gnadenhutten. Her family will receive callers from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
