Kirk Lee Kreinbihl, 64, of Gnadenhutten, died unexpectedly early Monday morning of June 30, 2025, at Trinity Hospital Twin City.

A son to the late Robert L. and Betty E. (Long) Kreinbihl, Kirk was born in Twin City hospital on January 4, 1961. He graduated from Indian Valley North in 1979, then soon after began working for Superior Clay, from where he retired after thirty-six years there. He enjoyed traveling to numerous flea markets and antique shops collecting many treasures along the way. He also enjoyed taking laps around town to gather scrap metal. 

Surviving are Kirk’s wife, Carolyn (Sanders) whom he married on March 27, 1988, his two sons and their wives: Kirky (Kylee) Kreinbihl and Dirk (Megan) Kreinbihl, both of Gnadenhutten; his four grandchildren: Gage, Madelyn, Bryxton, and Brielle; a sister-in-law Linda Kreinbihl, niece Kate (Skip) Miller, and nephew Lewie Kreinbihl.

Along with his parents, Kirk is preceded in death by a brother Rick Kreinbihl.

Kirk’s wishes were to be cremated and have a celebration of his life that will be planned for a later date. There will be calling hours for the family to receive friends on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. held at Koch Funeral Home of Gnadenhutten, 244 N. Walnut Street, 44629.
