Kyler Riley Evans, 36, of New Philadelphia, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023. Born April 2, 1987 in Dover, he was a son of Jerry D. and Jean M. (Riley) Evans with whom he had resided.
After his 2005 graduation from Indian Valley High School, Kyler studied at Kent State University’s Tuscarawas Campus. A talented musician, he will be remembered for his gift for playing many instruments and especially his skills with the guitar.
Kyler will be deeply missed by his parents, Jerry and Jean Evans; paternal grandmother, Virginia Evans; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his circle of friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Kenneth Evans; maternal grandmother, Maxine Riley; and uncle, Larry Sciarini.
His family plan to celebrate his life privately. In keeping with Kyler’s love of animals, charitable contributions honoring his memory may be made to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, 1432 Tall Timber Rd. N.E., New Philadelphia, OH 44663. Another organization that he deeply appreciated and would advocate for was Community Mental Health Services through SpringVale Health Center, 201 Hospital Dr., Dover, OH 44622.
