Larry D. Hootman, age 74, of New Philadelphia entered into rest on February 15, 2023, at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital after a period of declining health.
Born on March 6, 1948, in Dover, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Rita (Sergeant) Hootman.
After high school graduation Larry served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Larry us survived by his beloved wife, Ellen (Phillips) Hootman; his children, Jennifer and Stephanie Hootman; brother Phil (Valerie) Hootman; stepchildren, Kenneth Hancock, Timothy Eberly and Tabatha Gebhart; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many friends and extended family members.
The family will greet guests on Sunday, February 19, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
