Larry Edwin Biggs, age 86 of Gnadenhutten, Ohio. Beloved husband of 18 years to Linda C. Biggs (nee. Simpson). Larry joined his first love, Shirley A. Biggs and their infant son, Larry Todd, in paradise on August 26, 2025. He was devoted to his wife, Shirley, for 45 years. Proud father of Greg (Canda) Biggs, Tawny (Lud) Zajc, Tina Biggs (Shawn Bellville), David Cutrona (Marissa Tiroly). Caring Grandfather (Papu) of Drake & Delaney Miller, David Jr. (Missy) Cutrona and Great Grandfather to David Cutrona III. Dear brother to Janice (Jim) Baker, Pam (Tom) Vesco, and his late brother Mark (Carol Anne) Biggs. Cherished in-laws Sue (Turk) Crites, Bonnie Jack and the late Arnold (Rachel) Jack. Loved by many more cousins, nieces and nephews and extended family members, friends, and co-workers.

Larry proudly served in the United States Army as a Corporal Military Police Officer in the 508th Battalion stationed in Munich, Germany from 1961 to 1963. He was joined there by his wife, Shirley where they lived off base and enjoyed traveling all around Europe.

Upon Honorable Discharge, Larry & Shirley returned home and eventually took a job at Andrea’s Furniture in Sugarcreek, Ohio. He worked there for approximately 15 years before venturing with his buddies (Bob & Red Schlabach) to open their own Hartville Country Manor Furniture Store. While in Hartville, Larry enjoyed living at Congress Lake Country Club where he loved playing golf, raising his Arabian horses and enjoyed watching his children grow up. Eventually, he decided to return to Sugarcreek, closer to his hometown and family to rejoin his friends as a Salesman at Andrea’s Furniture. He remained there until his retirement in 1997.

After losing his wife, Shirley, to Pancreatic cancer, he was re-married to Linda and eventually moved to Fancy Gap, Virginia. They enjoyed their retirement living in a log home, near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Dad continued to play golf regularly on the mountain courses, where he tried (and often succeeded) to beat his kids.

In late 2022, Larry & Linda moved back to Tuscarawas County settling in the Southside of New Philadelphia, where they lived joyfully until his passing.

He was cared for and loved well by all of the wonderful people at Ohio’s Hospice, The Truman House. Memorial donations can be sent in honor of Larry Biggs to 716 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663, to support their compassionate care. Thank you!
